Suspect of illegal drug trade nab

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 17, 2014) --- Another suspect of illegal drug trade in the city was arrested by the City Police Intelligence Operatives during the illegal drug buy-bust operations Tuesday afternoon along F.S. Pajares Avenue, Gatas District this city.

Pagadian City Chief of Police Supt. Glenn Dulawan identified the suspect as Joel delos Santos y Arill 47 years old, married and a residents of Purok Sili, Barangay Danlugan, this city.

Police operatives led by Senior Insp. Romel Gabriel Etbew confiscated from the possession of the suspect 9 pieces of small size of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu and 5 pieces rolled aluminum foils, some illegal drugs paraphernalia, disposable lighter and the mark money.

Dulawan said the suspect is a former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) employee but was suspended due to pending case of illegal drugs in Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay after he was arrested last year.

The suspect is now temporary detained at Police lock-up cell while the violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 being prepared against him. (MPF-JC)
