Pagadian City Police Station Bags Two Achievement Unit Awards

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur --- Pagadian City Police Station (PCPS) have received two unit awards for the first semester of 2015 from Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Police Office, City Police Official said.

City Police Chief of Police Supt. Glenn Dulawan said Monday that these two awards are the Achievement Unit Award for the Most Number of Persons Arrested in the Campaign Against Illegal Drugs and Achievement Unit Award for the Most Number of Other Wanted Persons Arrested.

Dulawan said the awards were presented by Police Provincial Director Senior Supt. Sofronio P. Ecaldre during the culmination ceremony of the 20th Police Community Relation (PCR) Month Celebration on July 31, 2015 at Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office, Camp Abelon of this city.

Dulawan expressed his gratitude for recognition of their effort and also congratulating his men for showing support and unity in performing their duties and responsibilities as public service.

The PCPS fully recognized the role of the community in crime reporting, especially those persons who risk their lives only to give vital information on illegal drug traders and whereabouts of wanted persons in the community, Dulawan disclosed.

Dulawan added that such partnership between the police and the community coincides with this year's PCR Month theme, “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Mamamayan at Pulisya Simbolo ng Kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng Sambayanan”.

The awards are testaments to the relentless effort of Pagadian City Police in its fight against illegal drugs and campaign on going after wanted persons who try to evade the long arm of the law, PD Ecaldre also said. (JC-PFM News)
