Police file charges against arrested suspect of illegal drug trade, loose firearms




PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 23, 2015) – The City Police had formally filed the charges to the City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspect for illegal drugs trade and illegal possession of firearms, Monday

City Police Chief Supt. Glenn Dulawan identified the suspect as Sunny Mapait y Dalingding. He was under watch list on drugs personalities in this city.

Dulawan said the suspect was arrested by the joint police operatives of Pagadian City Police Station Intelligence personnel and the Regional Public Safety Battalion-9 (RPSB9) led by Executive Officer Police Senior Inspector Jerome Tajor Pamalaran during the conduct of illegal drugs buy-bust operation at Zone 2 in the nearby Barangay Muricay, of this city at about 4:30 AM of September 16, 2015.

The raiding team equipped with search warrant number 240 for illegal drugs and loose firearms issued by Hon. Judge Joel G. Vercide issued on September 15, 2015 at the house of the same subject located at the said place, Dulawan said.

He added that the police operatives has confiscated from the suspect possession and control four heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”.


Police also confiscated from the suspect the following items:
one M1 Garand Rifle with defaced serial number; 27 live ammunitions of caliber .30; one homemade Cal .45 with defaced serial number; one magazine of caliber .45; seven live ammunitions of caliber .45 one homemade caliber .38 pistol with defaced serial number; one homemade caliber .357; five live ammunitions of 12 gauge shotgun; one disposable lighter; several pieces of cut transparent plastic for repacking of “shabu”; one improvised blade cutter for repacking; and three small rolled aluminum foils.

The arrested suspect is now temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station while waiting from for the proper disposition of the case. (jdc)

Police arrest rape suspect and files charges in court

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept.6, 2015-) --- The Pagadian City Police have arrested and formally filed charges against the rape suspect at the City Prosecutor’s Office, Police official said Sunday.

City Chief of Police Supt. Glenn Dulawan identified the suspect as Olecher Gamal y Noto, 20 years old and a resident of Barangay Longmot, in the nearby Municipality of Tigbao of this province.

Dulawan said while the police operatives were in the crime scene conducting investigation, the suspect was seen at the place of incident with visible nail scratched marks on his neck and arms prompting the Investigation and Intelligence personnel to invite him to the station for questioning.

At the Police Station, Dulawan said the suspect voluntarily admitted that he raped and then killed the victim by choking using his bare hands.

Dulawan identified the victim as Rechilyn Mallo y Paul, 16 years old, a student of Saint Columban College. She sustained contusions at her neck and some parts of her body.

In the initial investigation, Dulawan disclosed that at about 7:30 in the morning on September 5, 2015 the dead body of the victim was found by her older brother lying in bed with her pants already down without underwear inside her room at their residence at Purok Madasigon, Barangay Banale of this city.

It was also learned that the suspect was temporarily residing at the house of the victim since they are relatives.

Some witnesses also said that the suspect was with them while having drinking spree and was observed few hours missing and came back few minutes before they dispersed. (By jdc-pfm news)
