City PNP and PECOMS ink MOA to strengthen the campaign on crime prevention




PAGADIAN CITY -- The Pagadian City Police Station and the Pagadian Emergency Communication Services (PECOMS) had signed Friday February 26. 2016 the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be the partners in anti-criminality operation in this City

City Police Chief Supt Michael P. Palermo said the4 MOA aimed to strengthen the campaign on crime prevention through communication assistance in case of emergency.

PECOMS President Wellie “Toto” Geographia also said the organization has more than 200 members scattered province-wide are equipped with Very High Frequency (VHF) Radio transceiver that can easily communicate eachn other  through their Aerial Base Communications System.

PECOMS is a registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and duly accredited by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) with Radio Station License based in Pagadian City operating at VHF Frequency 146.050 Mhz on Simplex.



“Our primary concern is to service to the community by providing free communication assistance especially in case of emergency.” Geographia said. (JDC)

City police campaign against illegal drugs to students





The Police Community Relation (PCR) of the Pagadian City Police Station initiated a lecture regarding the RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 to the Grade 6 students of Ballesteros Elementary School last Friday Feb. 26, 2016.

The PCR personnel headed by PCR Officer Insp Psyche VI Barroquillo discussed to the children the negative effect of illegal drugs in order to give awareness to the young minds on how it destruct their lives if they involved themselves to such kind of illegal activity.

The PNP personnel also distributed to the student their hotline contact numbers after the lecture so that in case of police assistance needed. (JDC)
