PAGADIAN CITY, Oct. 4, 2014 -- An estimated weight of 5 grams of illegal drugs (Shabu) was seized by the
joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Pagadian City Police Station and the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task
Force (PAIDSOFT), Zamboanga Del Sur during the drug buy-bust or entrapment operation in this city
Thursday evening.
PAIDSOFT Team Leader and Pagadian City Deputy Chief of Police PSI Rommel Gabriel Etbew identified the suspect as Beverly Lisayao Bugaw. She was arrested at the vicinity of Purok Osmena, Barangay Sto Niño at about 11:00 in the evening on October 2, Etbew said. He said the suspect was arrested after she sold and delivered the shabu in exchange for P500.00 to the policeman who posted as poseur-buyer of illegal drugs. The five hundred peso bill marked money was recovered from the possession of the suspect.
The arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at the custodial cell while a case for violation of sec 5 and 11 of Art II of R.A. 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court. (JDC)
