PAGADIAN CITY,
Zamboanga del Sur, Jan. 1 (PNA) – The local police have recorded a lone case of
stray bullet victim with zero firecracker-related incidents during the New
Year’s revelry in this city, an official disclosed.
Supt. Glenn Dulawan,
city police chief, however said Thursday that the number of stray bullet
incidents in this city is lower by one compared to the two cases recorded in
the previous year.
Dulawan identified
the stray bullet victim as Marly Tabudlong, a 19-year-old college student and a
resident of Barangay Sta. Maria this city.
Dulawan said
investigation showed that Tabudlong was already sleeping in her bedroom around
1 a.m. Thursday when she was hit on the left thigh by a bullet that pierced
through the roof.
Dulawan said a
deformed slug was recovered from the victim’s bedroom and was submitted to the
Provincial Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.
He said the victim
was rushed to the Pagadian City Medical Center and was subsequently discharged
after medical treatment. (PNA)
