City Zambo. Sur(April 6,CNN-PH)— The Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional
Office 9 has implemented random drug test to 279 newly graduate PNP recruits
before their official assignment to different Cities in Zamboanga Pininsula.
Police
Senior Superintendent Sofronio Ecaldre, Police Regional Community Relation
Officer said that the random drug test is part of Internal Cleansing (Kontra
Droga) and part of advocacy program of the Police Regional Office 9 implemented
Nationwide to prevent its personnel from using prohibited drugs.
Ecaldre
said the 279 newly graduate PNP recruits, will be deployed for Field Training Program
(FTP) to Zamboanga City, Dipolog City, and Pagadian City.
Ecaldre
said the 45 Field Training Officers (FTO) were Supervisors, 12 Explosive and
Ordnance Device Team (EODT) personnel from Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB-9),
and 22 personnel who are in the CI drug list of R2, and 14 from Regional
Special Training Unit (RSTU-9) personnel.
Of the 279 newly recruits 50 were already arrive in
Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (ZSSPO) for their assignment to
Pagadian City Police Station. (with
