PAGADIAN
CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (Fe. 5, 2015-) – A total of 1,800 milliliter or 18 bags
of blood donated to Philippine National Red Cross during the Bloodletting
Wednesday afternoon.
The
bloodletting was jointly conducted by the City Police and the army’s 53rd
Infantry Battalion of the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division at the City
Plaza Covered Court following the 4th day of the week-long celebration
of the 2nd World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) in Pagadian City.
The
WIHW celebrated every February 1-7 as mandated in the RA 10525 was approved on
April 23 2013.
This
year theme: "Strengthening Love for God and Love One other: A celebration
of hope for Life, Peace and Solidarity"

F. Muñoz expressed her gratitude to the Moral Recovery Program Movement for
spearheading the weeklong celebration of the WIHW and also to the members of
the City Police and 53rd IB for choosing bloodletting as part of
their activities.
Muñoz said that it is only through bloodletting that we can save life of the people and at the same time the donors will become healthy and getting younger. (By JONG CADION -MPF Ne
